I like the positive attitude you have, Sean, but there is a tone that I am worried about too. "I like Obama's recent tone." That is terrific. I totally agree. But like most supporters, we all seem to be adding the phrase at the conclusion, "I really hope he keeps it up." I really hope he keeps it up too, but he has a short attention span. In a basic way of putting it, I have to wonder, "Why did Rahm Emanuel leave Obama's Administration?" From what I gather, Obama does not listen, but I hope you are right on track with Obama's change if we are going to change at all as a nation. Then there is the Greek default. How will that help or hurt employment. The US, Israel, Palestine, and Turkey issues, how will that spin business in the nation? Clinton is leaving as Secretary of State. Obama has simply handed over too many gifts to the GOP as if he needs their approval at destroying him. How is that? Why is that? Only Obama knows, but the sentence, "I really hope he keeps that up." That statement speaks volumes on a global scale. Millions are asking the same question. Millions more have stopped asking. The voters seem to stop caring about what he has to say when he turns Washington's policy over to the GOP to run the White House. I don't know who I voted for anymore? Obama is not the Obama I supported and I have volunteered thousands upon thousands of hours and months for the Obama Administration.
Reply to Sean B. discussion that began with the paragraph:
I have to say, I have liked Obama's recent tone this past week. I really hope he keeps that up. I feel his debt reduction proposal is a strong one.
