Knitting Children's Clothes in Vail

The Vail Collection imports children’s clothing knit by hand. My sister takes the highest quality cloth to craft into clothes for my son. He has been wearing the stitches and loops since he was four months old. Mothers stop my wife and I in the grocery store to ask where we bought the children’s knits. Parents walk over to my wife and I in the park to ask about the designs. We never paid much attention to the thickness of the yarn, quality of the stitch, or the weaving of the silk. For years, my wife’s sister has been sewing. After our son was born, she began to craft her technique around his tiny frame. In photographs, the symmetrical shapes really stand out with the color, especially white silk. The patterns shine in the light when woven with white.

2011 Game Changers

I enjoyed reading this article about the 2011. I am not sure about voting, but the life stories are interesting.

Game Changers.

John Ensign's Extramarital Scandal

Time Magazine was the first weekly magazine in the United States making it the most influential read in America. Since the pages were bound in 1923, citizens have been obtaining the news from Time. That is power, especially when an simple article can often times shift the entire nation’s opinion on major issues. This week in April, Time did a story surrounding what they referred to as The 100 Least Influential people of 2010. The weekly highlighted the failure of two Nevada politicians: Senator John Ensign and Governor Jim Gibbons. I know the two clowns better than an entertaining act shown at the casino. I wrote books about them from my observations in Nevada - ‘John Ensign's Extramarital Mistress in Sin City’ - And then introduced myself to Senator Ensign for an autograph on the book. It was Halloween day when he walked into the juice bar at my gym wearing what I thought was a costume from the DC comic book character, The Flash. The mistake was made easy. Hosts at the front counter where wearing erotic Wonder Woman outfits. Weight trainers had gladiator costumes that were borrowed from casinos with a Roman theme to impress tourists. Ensign had a bicycle suit on with deep red incarnations to show off his reflexes. He appeared to be The Flash out of a DC comic book.

America's Most Economically Vibrant College Towns: Atlantic List

The Atlantic says,

A college town isn't just a place full of excellent coffee-shops anymore. It can also be a place full of interesting new start-ups and innovative jobs.
The Atlantic recently named the 20 most economically vibrant college towns. University of Colorado's Boulder topped the list, with University of Michigan's Ann Arbor coming in second.

Our measure is not limited to smaller, more traditional college towns, but also includes larger metros like Boston, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and New York, which are home to major college campuses and large numbers of students and faculty. We measure economic vibrancy in terms of six key variables: per capita income, high-tech industry concentration, the rate of innovation (measured as patents per capita), human capital (the percentage of adults with a bachelor's degree or higher), percent of the workforce in the creative class, and the affordability of housing.

Las Vegas Abandoned Foreclosed Homes

Nevada homeowners simply pack their belongings and abandoned entire properties in Las Vegas without notifying the gas department, post office, or city water - The message is clear, especially since retirees planned on living in Las Vegas forever. As these settlers leave town the way tourists exit by car with the attitude of, “I saw Las Vegas and got it out of my system. Now I am headed off to the next city.” I know that with this attitude that we have a historical ghost town in the making. Without proper leadership, the banks won’t gamble on a bad loan. We bought this house when it was $450,000, but felt more like $525,000 after repairing plumbing problems. Las Vegas’ water supply has minerals that eats across metal pipes. The house is now worth $120,000 and that price falls by the week. What company is going to offer insurance to a new business built on quick sand? Students pay more tuition as classes are being cut. Construction is on permanent hiatus because foremen aren’t getting paid. Dishwashers are using less water to soap silverware. Experienced cooks picket outside of large restaurants with signs to complain. The cooks were replaced with cheaper workers at the grill. Dishwashers that split their time between tossing a salad and bleaching bowls used to toss that salad. Plus where do the green leaves come from if there are no farms around town used for picking lettuce? Far away, none of the food is picked fresh. All the imports have to be brought in by truck and the trucking companies are complaining that the baby boomers in the industry are quick to retire. Time for my family to follow the truckers and fly out of Vegas.

Mining Towns : Nevada and Colorado

Aspen is a mining town. Before the ski resorts, Aspen earned money by the mines. Las Vegas is a mining town. The entire city is turning into a mining disaster. The vein has run dry. All the eggs were in one giant basket. When times were mighty, locals used to protest, “You can’t get any protection around here unless you live near a casino.” I can walk to the casinos from my front porch, but my wife and I will never leave the house after seven in the evening. The town has become lawless. The Governor, Senator, and Mayor have all been investigated by the Federal government. No one cares. In four short years, the layers of this cake have been devoured. All that was sweet is now stinky. The air is tested for ozone on a daily basis, newborn infants are attacked by men off their medication with axes used to chop trees in half. This is a true story. At random, a man jumped out of his apartment and attacked an infant with her mother by using an axe for the murder. Las Vegas biggest real estate agent has decided to abandon his casinos along Las Vegas Boulevard, so that he can maintain his Chinese properties along the coastline of Macau. Macau is the new casino mecca where the Vegas conventions are moving to. Time to leave. My wife packed and took our son to visit her mother, I stayed to plan our move to - Anywhere - Any city outside of Nevada - My job was to find a better place to start a business.

Wealth in Colorado Las Vegas, Nevada

The wealth surrounding Las Vegas could be studied in building plans. Casino owners carved up empty lots located in the desert. Where dust blew strong enough to blind bus drivers, bankers carved out lots, and by Christmas time, a shopping mall rose that rivaled the boutiques of Beverly Hills. My cousins visited from the Midwest. “We came with $28,000.” Later my cousin confirmed, “We are ready to loose it.” My family saved $28,000 only to come to Las Vegas and give it away to the casinos. Business partners walked away from my house to enter a casino twenty minutes away to use the bathroom. In four minutes, the friends I did business with lost $85. That was only on the return trip from the toilet. My client asked if she could bring her mother to Las Vegas. I dropped the two off at the casino lobby around 10:00 pm, parked the car, and met them for a late night dinner. When I sat at the table, the mother screamed with a happiness, “I lost $900 in one hand.” Visitors coming to seeing me in Vegas actually planned on how much money they would loose. Some would save their pennies all year eating bland chicken dishes so that they could visit me and blow their entire saving account in a matter of days. I had mixed feelings about this. Gamblers can’t make money. The odds are against them. There is no way a local from another city can understand the amount of brain power that goes into the odds. Mathematicians writing texts books for their college doctorate know. I realize this because they are my neighbors. Casino bosses hire computer techs to put the odds in their favor. Winning numbers are announced each quarter in Las Vegas. By the time the statistics are counted every three months, the losers are history: Tourists returning home without rent, visitors borrowing shopping carts to push their suitcases to the airport, because the money saved for the taxi ride was lost on the slot machines, and now that the banks have failed, karma has come back to punch Las Vegas in the gut. The global backlash blindsided the casino industry. Leaders are leaving faster than the homeowners. Houses sit abandoned. Students volunteer to take care of animals after their parents abandoned the pets in parks. Dogs eat starving cats and then walk down unknown streets attacking children when they get desperate for food.

Nanotechnology to Las Vegas Casinos

For a few years, I developed websites in Florida until a company involving nanotechnology offered to move me to Santa Barbara beaches. The resort town has one main avenue. Bored in Santa Barbara I took a job with the company headquarters in Manhattan. Now I am headed to New York City. Far from Colorado, I lost sight of Denver, Boulder, especially Aspen. Two months later, the World Trade Center was attacked. I began to write at night. My wife and I met when I started to teach. Computer jobs came and went as corporations left Manhattan to move west to New Jersey or north to Westchester. Many computer engineers were traumatized by the World Trade Center attack. Many of their friends died. The highest paying tech jobs for engineers were next to the World Trade Center. Well I left too after joining a writing class near Central Park West with World Trade Center survivors. I was offered a house and a job in Las Vegas, Nevada. Magazines around the planet proclaimed Las Vegas the fastest growing city in the United States. My phone rang off the receiver. I was asked to work for three separate employers in two days. My wife also found a job the week we arrived. We hadn’t even unpacked our boxes. The table we sat at for dinner came from a resurrected television box. After taking out the TV, we turned the cardboard upside down, and ate using the bottom, because we were so busy getting ready to check in for work that we didn’t have time to buy dining tables, bed sets, and kitchen cooking utensils. University students around the corner were dropping out of management classes. “Why study for a semester, when I can make more than $70,000 a year valet parking cars. That is more than my professor makes.” The freshmen exclaimed. High students went to card training classes to become blackjack dealers. Girls urned to be cocktail models that served Long Island Iced Teas while wearing slinky two piece bikinis thinner than the floss dentist recommended for toothaches.

Aspen California Connection

The winners write history. While serving drinks to software giants at the highest volume restaurant north of San Francisco, tourists from Colorado would walk up to my bar and exclaim, “We have a restaurant just like this in Aspen, Colorado.” The manager overheard their conversation and bought the visitors a drink. The manager had traveled across Interstate 80 to open a replica of the Colorado restaurant in the heart of the Sonoma wine country. “The owner develops land in the Rocky Mountains, but started buying property in Northern California. One day he took his wife to dinner. She complained about her margarita, ‘I wish there was a place I could get a decent margarita.’ Within a week, her husband started developing restaurants. The center of every dining hall held a bar with blenders stirring margaritas - Just like the tequila cocktails we serve in Colorado.” The name, Aspen, was new to me. Still I rarely heard about Aspen again until I started graduate school. The college offering me an MBA in International Business was only a stone’s throw to the owners new restaurant in Marin County, south of the Sonoma store. He let me transfer and work while I studied, yet it seemed like many of the locals were Colorado transplants. Real estate agents talked more about Denver than Tiburon. Flight attendants flying routes from Denver found themselves comfortably divorced in Marin. The entire logging town known as Mill Valley had residents with duo-citizenship in Aspen, Colorado. This intrigued me. I was studying international trade. Surrounded by business executives that liked my blended drinks, I realized that the rich either live in Colorado or arrive from Aspen. Like any researcher worth his salt, I had to find out for myself, but few roads led to the Rocky Mountains. After the Internet bubble burst in Silicon Valley, I found getting a job with the military in Jacksonville, Florida, easier than reading a map to the middle of the country. Colorado faded from view.

I had to drive for book interviews from Colorado to Arizona and then east to the coast of Florida. The Blockbuster Video was selling all their audio CDs for $1.00. The Blockbuster had an audio book of Cormac McCarthy. I got them and listened to Cormac McCarthy for nearly a week from Santa Fe, Flagstaff, Tucson, El Paso into Mobile, Jacksonville, Florida. As soon as I stopped, I bought his books. Cormac McCarthy brought me back to reading again. I had not read a book in years. He brought me back to the print, the word, the lovely page of paper between my fingers. Thank you. I appreciate your work more each year. You are inspiration that changes the world - Making the USA landscape a better place to learn from.

Aspen's Egg Fate (Eggs in a Single Basket)

Production, Business, Imports, Manufacturing, Construction, Engineerings, Building; Aspen suffered a similar fate once. The Colorado mining town closed during the Panic of 1893. The attention given to railroads had investors pouring money into speculative deals. Much like today’s housing bubble that burst, the expansion of the railroads was bet on, and gamblers lost. Thousands of industries sank, companies fired employees, and soon President Grover Cleveland repealed the silver purchase act that led to the chaos, but Washington always acts slow. The miners of Aspen had to find a new way to make money. The city saved all her financial eggs into one giant basket. When that basket was dropped, the eggs were worthless. To feed their families, miners left town. Aspen was a ghost town until developers turned beautiful views into world class ski resorts.

Economics Eggs in One (small) Basket of the Nation

Entirely economies failed when town leaders placed all their eggs into one basket. Take the mining towns as a prime example. Large populations escaped the east coast. Wagon trains were led west. Like the caravans that brought Marco Polo to the riches of China, families were willing to camp out in mining towns covered in snow for their opportunity to find gold. Good luck was found by shoveling into the dirt. Miners picked at mountains. Men walked into the water that was recently melted snow with pans so that the waves would welcome gold that broke from the hills. Merchants prospered. Property owners with a special interest in their own land started to organize men for protection. Since protection is the world’s oldest profession, groups were organized by new judges: Fire men, police corps, guards at the gates, and inspectors. Business was booming until the mines collapsed. Lawless rebels fought for jobs. The river stopped supplying gold. Trade ceased. No one had money to buy baked bread, so families fried water mixed with flour and called the biscuits pan cakes. The leaders were the last to go, but when those men who controlled the government left, every individual collectively packed his bags, lifted them into their wagons, and abandoned the ship.

Google : What is a Google?

Clients have asked me to explain the rational behind nanotechnology. As webmaster administering the website, let me summarize by adding that Nanotechnology deals with small measurements at the nanometre level. On the scale of size, nanometres are one billionth of a meter, whereas nanoseconds are one billionth of a second. Math is a universal language. Even the name Google is taken from Mathematics. Google’s corporate name is derived form the term used for Googol. Googol is a one followed by 100 zeros. For example, actions speak louder than words, here is a Googol; 10, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000, 000.

Follow Dreams to Colorado

As I write this sentence, the year is 2011. Time to follow my dream and leave Las Vegas for Colorado, the new tech center in the United States. Silicon Valley freeways have become a parking lot. Cars don’t move an inch during rush hour traffic. I was in San Francisco last week meeting with associates involved with medical devices, cardiology mixed in with microscopic digital instruments. A 30 minute drive ten years ago has become a two hour drive today. The economy is pouring money into construction projects. The jobs are wonderful, but construction on bridges during the height of tourist season backs from traffic from San Jose in the south to Cloverdale in the north. The next high tech sector in America will be a triangulation of Colorado cities; Boulder, Denver, and Colorado Springs. Engineers from the University of Colorado, Boulder will combine their creative minds with the scientists of Denver. The military will scout for new projects that peak their interests outside of Colorado Springs. Colorado Springs became a military base at the time the atomic bomb was being build by scientists involved with the Manhattan Project. The warnings of nuclear arms following the Cold War brought military investors. The Supreme Commander of NATO, Dwight D. Eisenhower became President of the United States in 1953. Eisenhower searched for the perfect location to build the Air Force Academy. The President picked Colorado Springs. Soon Colorado Springs became headquarters for the North American Aerospace Defense Command in 1958. My aunt was working for the military in Washington D.C. following the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. Soviet leader Khrushchev wanted to counter the U.S. threat of nuclear war by stationing missiles in Cuba. My aunt says that Washington D.C. separated after missiles were found off the coast of Florida. Too much power was amassed in Washington DC. The military had to spread out to Washington near the Pacific Ocean and Colorado Springs in the center of the nation. In the 1984 film, Red Dawn with Patrick Swayze, the Soviet Union with the help of Cuba invades the United States via Calumet, Colorado. Oddly enough, the irony of filmmaking takes presidence. The town used to film the location of Calumet in the Red Dawn film was the city of Las Vegas in New Mexico.

Special Time : Road Trip

Lets drive to Chicago. In hindsight, change is traveling forward. Fourth of July is a special time for change. In 1999, I finished developing my first websites for a publisher near San Francisco, California. The publisher and two of his authors took me to Egypt, Greece, Israel, and Turkey. After setting up an e-commerce websites so his secretary could sell his books online, I drove towards Los Angeles, and arrived on the Fourth of July in Hollywood, where I earned $70 per hour at Jerry Lewis’ Muscular Dystrophy Foundation. The executives needed a website for an evening with the celebrities starring at the Beverly Hills Hilton. After that job, the military came to California to recruit me for a position as producer for a video website in Jacksonville, Florida. Before websites like YouTube, my group was video encoding. I created the first investment tutorial CD for eSchwab at Charles Schwab in San Francisco, so we took tutorials from Jacksonville, Florida to teach staff in the Navy via video as they took classes from boats out at sea. That project finished in July. The world leader in nanotechnology offered me a free apartment with a salary in Santa Barbara, California. I pulled into Santa Barbara after a week on the road from Jacksonville, Florida as the fireworks were going off at a local stadium. After driving for a week, I watched the fireworks from a laundry mat parking lot as my clothes spun clean. I was the first Web Administrator for the company creating world class atomic force microscopes with cutting edge technology dealing with nanometers. The Santa Barbara company was bought by two scientists that developed the helium leak detector for the Manhattan Project in 1945. The Manhattan Project scientists created the first atomic bomb. The engineers hired a staff of web professionals on the East Coast. Their director invited me to their headquarters in Long Island, New York for Fourth of July Weekend. I arrived for a party at the Bryant Park Grill held by Microsoft’s Bill Gates on 42nd Street. Within three days, I had a new apartment in New York City. Fourth of July is a special time for career changes.

Draining the Swimming Pools in September

Cool water equals death in the Las Vegas desert. More children are found dead in swimming pools. The parents leave for one minute. The child heads towards the comfort of the swimming pool water. Deaths are announced on the news each evening. Many children die in Las Vegas by being attracted to the water of a swimming pool. When I edit a book, I tune the world out. If I am writing, the rest of the world away from the paper seems so distant. Children need attention. Las Vegas is a town for adults. Using the past tense, Aspen was a mining town. Years ago, Denver attracted gamblers the way Las Vegas attracts card players now. Today Las Vegas is a mining town for adult tourists. This town is no place for children. Now that I have children, it is time to leave Las Vegas, Nevada.

Read Mario Puzo at the Ski Slopes

Publishers are impressed with characters that are attractive to readers. As a publisher, Las Vegas allows me to go a short distance to watch people interact with each other. Mario Puzo loved watching the gamblers in Las Vegas. He wrote about the mafia. Hunter S. Thompson became famous after his trip to Las Vegas. Hunter published Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Screenplay writers win awards and call me from Santa Barbara to collaborate on a novel. They want to write with me, but there is also this addiction to risk. The San Barbara writers want to gamble at the blackjack tables. I have written in Prague, Paris, New York, and San Francisco. Authors have paid my way to Greece, Egypt, and Israel to help them lay out their pages. There are less distractions in Las Vegas for writers that don’t get addicted to the lifestyle surrounding gambling, nightclubs featuring pole dancers as well as rounders where the writer stays up around the clock jumping from one casino to the next for 72 hours straight. Writing means isolation. Editing is a lonely job. New York City is full of distractions. Las Vegas offers less if you don’t live in a casino all day. Los Angeles authors spend their days in traffic. There is less comfort in Las Vegas than San Francisco. The cool fog brings breezes into town over Mount Sutro that meander down Geary Avenue, Market Street, and downtown events carry the publisher away. Writers don’t want to sit in the office when they can walk around outside in San Francisco. This isn’t the case for Las Vegas. The work gets done. There is nothing to do under the sun but edit, proof read, and write, so publishers like me get four books done each month. Here in Las Vegas we meet our deadlines. But now that I am married, I work at the expense of excluding my children. Children can’t stay inside all day. Children can be victims to the sun’s vicious rays.

Colorado Snow Equals Migration in the U.S.A.

Colorado gets the most snow in March. That is what the tour guide told me. I was writing a book for students traveling to France and Germany. The headquarters for the tour group was south of Denver, Colorado. The tour guide and I spoke as the weather reporters talked about the snow falling in the Rocky Mountains. The snow brings homeless people to the warmth of Las Vegas. Let me give you two examples that stunned me while publishing with authors out of town: Salt Lake City, Utah and Vancouver, British Columbia. Salt Lake City has a lot of large families. When I was in Salt Lake City working with authors, there were girls with three children complaining that their mothers wanted them to have more children. I never heard this protest before. There was no opinion, no judgement, simply surprise at the fact that this girl was willing to share the anxiety of wanting to have more children with me. The families are large in Utah. Salt Lake City parents are expected to give birth to many children. Unfortunately Salt Lake City lies in the cross roads of a large distribution area for drugs. The city is in the middle of Highway 80 and Highway 15. Highway 80 runs from New York to San Francisco. Highway 15 runs from Canada to Mexico via the border of San Diego, California. Children that slip through the cracks away from their parents protection turn to narcotics. If they live on the streets, they can’t survive the snow. Las Vegas is six hours south if you drive at sixty. Las Vegas has no snow. Homeless drug addicts migrate to Las Vegas when the snow arrives in Utah, Idaho, and Colorado. In Canada, it is the same thing for mild regions like Vancouver. I was interviewing rock bands in Canada. Homeless people escape snow in Toronto by finding their way west to Vancouver. The same is true for Las Vegas in the United States. Nevada is a hot region. Snow in the winter means more homeless people migrating to live in Las Vegas. The police have to raid tent cities. This year, the homeless didn’t leave in the spring. The snow continued to fall in Colorado, so the homeless stayed in Las Vegas. They live in libraries. The libraries put a television set outside near the bathrooms so that the homeless could watch TV to escape. The library had to hire extra security to guard the area for children, readers, and computer areas. The snow will return in four months. Time to leave Las Vegas before more homeless people come to escape the snow throughout the United States.

Visa Farms

English teachers overseas have begun to refer to universities in Nevada as Visa Farms. The universities have been hit hard by the economy. The deans demand money as the colleges suffer. The way colleges make money is by providing a service. They open doors to churches on Sunday. They open classrooms up to night programs for adults. They scout for students overseas. This is how the 9/11 attackers got into the country. Students from foreign countries find desperate schools that will accept any student willing to pay. My wife and I live minutes away from the Student Union, the entrance to the university. We had a Chinese student that lived with us. He applied to over 20 universities in the United States. The only college that would accept him was in Las Vegas. I have taught classes, studied to earn an MBA, and worked in the oldest school of commerce in Prague. This students from China was completely unqualified. The Las Vegas university had four people, two professors, and two students, watch this student like babysitters. The professors asked the student from China to teach a class to American students. This saved the campus money on a real teacher. He could not boil an egg. Forget teaching him how to wash clothes. The room smelled for eight months. The bathroom grew mold. He wouldn’t buy toilet paper, but stole tissue from the university restrooms. Nor could the student drive. The culture shock sent him to the campus hospital. He was medicated. Each morning he threw up from the anxiety, but the campus helped him because he paid tuition. The campus became a Visa farm for students hoping to enter the United States. Foreign girls looking for husbands were told to apply to Las Vegas. We met them by the pool at the resorts. Some are former babysitters. They asked to rent rooms after they get into the country as au pairs. The girls are encouraged to drink with high rollers at casino bars once they leave the sun by the swimming hole. An engineer from Iran went to Jordan to obtain a Visa and then Las Vegas let him enter into the College of Engineering. He asked for a room to rent. I took him to the store to buy shirts. He had nothing. I couldn’t help him, because he was only willing to pay $350 per month for rent. That would not cover the cost of gas, water, and electricity. His hopes were completely unreasonable. Someone responsible for recruitment offered him an education at the university and he flew into Las Vegas thinking the government would take care of his financial needs including housing. If anybody from a foreign government can pay for a diploma at a Nevada university, the time has come to leave the city. If any foreigner can pay to enter the country by applying to this university for a Visa, where is the security? Schools suffer during this economy. The universities are lowering their standards. The college is a business. They provide a service to anyone willing to pay tuition. Time to leave Las Vegas.

Recruiting Ski Lovers to Ski Slopes in Colorado

Oscar Goodman was a popular Mayor. I say “was” as in the past tense for “is” because Oscar Goodman’s wife, Carolyn has just become Mayor of Las Vegas, replacing her husband’s seat in command of the city. This is essential to note, because Mayor Oscar Goodman served three terms. Oscar Goodman earned over 80% of the vote against a half a dozen lawmakers complaining about his job. The people voted again for Oscar Goodman’s wife, which inspires more leadership from the Goodman Family. Now take note as you ponder these passages from outside of Las Vegas. The Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons left in disgrace. He was very unpopular statewide. The Nevada Senator John Ensign was extremely unpopular nationwide. Ensign left office an embarrassment for the State of Nevada. Oscar Goodman knew his term as mayor was coming to a close. Goodman could have easily run for Governor of Nevada and won. Oscar Goodman could have asked to become the Senator to replace John Ensign and again, Oscar Goodman could have won. But the former defense attorney for the mafia, Oscar Goodman did not run for Senate. Why? The news in Nevada was so bleak that Oscar Goodman didn’t want to be associated with the turmoil. The problems hitting business are huge. The economy has been rattled. Visitors are spending less. Casinos are closing their doors. University students are protesting with professors over budget cuts to higher education. Tech companies see the threat to education as a reason to avoid doing business, because the companies can’t create unless the employees they hire from the universities are educated. Oscar Goodman didn’t want to end up like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gray Davis, and Jim Gibbons. Oscar Goodman didn’t talk about jumping ship by leaving Las Vegas for Macau, China, the way Steve Wynn made his announcement, but Oscar Goodman’s actions spoke volumes. Why did a Nevada leader as ambitious as Oscar Goodman hold back from running for the highest office in Nevada when he could have won with ease? Goodman predicted the future. The future for any leader in Nevada in a bad economy is a bad bet no gambler would bluff with. If Steve Wynn leaves, I am warned to leave with my family. If Oscar Goodman declines the capital mansion set for the Governor of Nevada, I have to take the advice of his actions, and leave town with my son. There is no hope for my family in Las Vegas, Nevada if Oscar Goodman and Steve Wynn announce their doubts by declining leadership at a time when Nevada needs leadership.

USA is the USA

The more they speak, the more we have to listen to, and the nation, the United States of America, the country - Is not Texas? The world is listening. The nation is asking questions. Rick Perry don't NOT understand. The USA is NOT Texas. The USA is the USA.
