Dan Quayle's wife Marilyn
The cameras caught Dan Quayle's wife Marilyn slapping the Vice President’s hand. As embarrassing as Jimmy Carter kissing the Queen in England. Basically I love the heroic side to James Baker, but not the policy incorporated by Reagan or Bush. Say that, I also admit, George H.W. Bush is an American idol. Brave, bright, bold, Bush’s experience blows the mind when one studies his accomplishments since Bush was born in Massachusetts to Senator Prescott Bush. Prescott Bush is so distinguished that he reminds me of a famous Rothschild in Frankfurt, Germany. Back to Rick Santorum, he made a commitment to be President, ran, and now John Ensign is burying him. That is unforgivable. I don’t like Santorum’s policies. Nor his hardwired Conservatism, but he reminds of the mafia in Las Vegas. There is no loyalty amongst criminals. In the mafia, an underboss like John Ensign would disappear in the desert, because he couldn’t be allowed to bring other dons like Santorum down. Santorum is being turned over to investigators. Ensign will make a deal. He will plead not simply plea to change his fate. Santorum’s destiny will follow Ensign. Investigators will simply say, “Give us a bigger fish or go to prison and serve out your term.” Powerful men bring on the wrath of their enemies. Lawmakers like Tom Coburn and Rick Santorum will follow John Ensign as his case continues on to the criminal courts at a Federal level. These are the lessons every local child aged student learned in Las Vegas. Don’t attach yourself to losers. Losers bring down the entire gang, the whole crowd, in this case, the United States Senate, especially Republican lawmakers.

Ethics in Washington?
Reporting from Nevada on the Ensign Scandal : June 22, 2009; Fox news decided to guard the hen house. John Ensign was about to take Fox News down with his party, friends, and supporters. He reminded me of most gamblers that lie to their wives about being in the casino. He lied, denied, distracted questioning as if he had been lying about his gambling habit all his life and only now gotten caught gambling for the first time when the money trail spoke volumes to the press. John Ensign releases a statement June 22, 2009 accusing Doug Hampton of "outrageous" and "exorbitant" demands. Ensign returned to Washington DC, addresses the issue, and Washington sharks smell the blood of wounded seals swimming a dinner plate away from a casino buffet. Melanie Sloan, Director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington files a complaint with the Senate Ethics Committee. Three days ago as I write this sentence the Senate Ethics Committee issued a scathing report detailing John Ensign's criminal conduct.

Dan Quayle, Barbara Boxer and Ensign
Barbara Boxer’s speech was brutal for Ensign’s friends because the legalities uttered with Boxer’s voice flowed like an anthem - A call to the unheard voices hurt by the powerful who shamed those less fortunate. I felt sorry for Rick Santorum. Folks sitting around the dinner table were surprised to hear me defend Santorum, but I give credit where credit is due, especially when a citizen works so hard. Let me give you two examples; Bob Dole and George H.W. Bush. When I live in Czech, books were hard to come by in English. I found history books and read them repeatedly. Bob Dole’s service for the U.S. in Italy was great - Better than great, his courage was profound. He proved to be braver when he entered into politics. Dole is an American icon. I don’t agree with Dole’s beliefs. His political ideas are as insane as Newt Gingrich, but in a democracy we are free to disagree. Another wonderful role model is George H.W. Bush. From his Prescott family to being shot down in World War II, George H.W. Bush’s service to this country is beyond the scope of large volume books. Bush should have a small private library dedicated to his role as oil speculator, business deal maker, ambassador, intelligence chief, Vice President; Seriously I am surprised that he picked Dan Quayle to be his Vice President. Dan Quayle is the biggest nuclear disaster to hit the GOP. I will never forget seeing James Baker so deflated, so defeated, as when he wrestled with Quayle to make Quayle not appear like such a moron in men’s pants. James Baker was Chief of Staff for Ronald Reagan. He was Secretary of State for George Bush. He quit to help George Bush get re-elected, but Dan Quayle made Sarah Palin seem smart. He went to South America and as the cameras were following him with news crews, he played with toys that when lifted sprouted an erection.

Resignation Letter : Reporting from Nevada
Ensign Resignation Letter
"It is with tremendous sadness that I officially hand over the Senate seat that I have held for eleven years," said Ensign. "The turbulence of these last few years is greatly surpassed by the incredible privilege that I feel to have been entrusted to serve the people of Nevada. I can honestly say that being a United States Senator has been the honor of my life.
"I know that my staff has been devoted to helping those in our state when they needed our assistance the most, and I hope that this will be the enduring legacy that we leave behind. As I close the door to this chapter of my life, I am left with memories that I will forever treasure. Traveling across our state during the years, I have heard incredible stories of strength, of struggle, and of compassion. I have met people who have forever changed me, and I can say that I will go through life a better person because of the struggle that I have been through and the support that I have received.
“While I stand behind my firm belief that I have not violated any law, rule, or standard of conduct of the Senate, and I have fought to prove this publicly, I will not continue to subject my family, my constituents, or the Senate to any further rounds of investigation, depositions, drawn out proceedings, or especially public hearings. For my family and me, this continued personal cost is simply too great.
“I am gratified that, after extended investigations, both the Department of Justice and the Federal Election Commission saw no grounds on which to charge me with improper conduct. I was hopeful that, with the closure of these investigations against me the wear and tear on my family and me would soon be over. This was not the case.
“As is its right, the Senate Ethics Committee is continuing its investigation of issues into which it has been inquiring for the past year and a half. Indeed, the Committee even decided recently to devote more resources to its investigation by hiring an outside counsel even though the issues have been viewed and reviewed by so many others.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gov of California
Arnold Schwarzenegger attacked single mothers in 2001, but the speech didn’t hurt him. He announced running for Governor of California on August 6, 2003 during an episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Schwarzenegger declined to participate in several Governor debates. He was preparing to look into the California Senate race of 2010. Arnold Schwarzenegger could have become President of the United States if he had been born in the United States and not Thal, Australia. I took my brother and cousin to Thal in the early nineties and we actually workout in an Austrian hotel weight room as a joke to say we lifted weights were Arnold was from. The package was part of a tour. We waltzed through Vienna, Salzburg, and road chartered buses to Italy and Germany. The bus stopped in Thal, Austria for the night. I have written about Arnold Schwarzenegger ties to painters and artist that have a Conservative lean towards Nazi symbolism in a few of my books. California Republicans were ready to put Arnold in the White House. Suddenly a few days ago, the Governor’s wife left him. Separated, split, public announcements about a potential divorce were replacing the news. Then the comet from space hit the ground again. As I write this sentence, Arnold Schwarzenegger has admitted to fathering a child from a sexual affair ten years ago. His wife never knew. His children had no idea. His party of Republicans were caught off guard by the hypocrisy. Arnold Schwarzenegger was a Conservative member of the GOP. He was the California choice as Republican Governor. In 2001, when Arnold Schwarzenegger was considered the job as Governor of California, the actor railed against single-parent families by shouting this speech at a fund raising event, “The parents are the single most important influence on a child, followed by education and the peer group. The number of single parents in the U.S. has quadrupled since the '60s, and there has also been an increase in violence and school shootings. All that stuff has increased largely because of a lack of parenting, and many households only have one biological parent -- so many of them are fatherless. It really creates a big problem.”
