Las Vegas Lefty Rosenthal

Las Vegas Lefty Rosenthal watched gamblers. Writing from Las Vegas, finishing the book on money in the city's economy. The famous pit boss Lefty destroyed knee caps if a thief came into town. Jon Ralston investigates crimes in Las Vegas. Pit bosses are synonymous with pit bulls securing a casino floor by watching for criminals trying to cheat the system. Jon Ralston breaths the air in Las Vegas. He smells a cheat in Ensign. He hears the Senator’s heart beat as he asks John Ensign’s best friend questions. Roasts are heated slow, but cooked to perfection. Jon Ralson invited Doug Hampton back. The show goes national. The interview enters YouTube before prime time TV presents American Idol and Dancing with the Stars. Viewers download the show and come up with conclusions after the Hampton interview with Ralston. Now Washington takes notice. Republicans stand up in their seat. Older members of Congress used to opening envelopes via snail mail see the video encoding on Google and ask, “What is this YouTube? What is this confession on the computer screen?” Richard Nixon had more leniency before Watergate. Nixon broke into the office of the Democratic National Committee June 17, 1972. Bob Woodward, a new reporter rumored to be on the newspaper’s chopping block to an early retirement was reluctantly sent to investigate as the sun rose over the city that didn’t wink at the thought of a Nixon scandal. Richard Nixon was untouchable. He attacked Jim Morrison, Lennie Bruce, and threatened to deport John Lennon the way J. Edgar Hoover deported Charlie Chaplain in 1952. These characters were vaudeville actors like Las Vegas entertainers.

Entertainers on Ice

Interviewed Couples

January 2000, I interviewed couples for a few weeks while computer programing online radio stations on Music Row in Nashville, Tennessee. The newspaper stands in town had more weekly and monthly daily newspapers for meeting couples in the area and surrounding states than the liberal city of San Francisco, California. San Francisco’s competition narrowed the monthly newspaper to two copies after investors bought the other magazines out of business. Tennessee had up to 18 newspapers fro swingers with titles across the top that printed Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, and sometimes narrowed to towns in the capital cities like Atlanta, Memphis, and Louisville. It was shocking because the states are heavily influenced by the church. Not just the prominent South Baptist Church, but many Conservative congregations that San Francisco ministers would consider hardcore if not down right dangerous with violent threats to what Jesus Christ really intended to teach in his sermons on the mount. I have been to Jerusalem too. Christians could learn a lot about themselves by visiting Israel. I am sure Senator John Ensign has been there on assignment. Maybe Harry Reid has lectured there. You can’t judge somebody until you have stepped into their shoes. That is why I am puzzled by John Ensign. I think I write about him to understand the politics in Nevada. Not simply Las Vegas. The State of Nevada is a complicated place to live. Politics, money, greed, and values associated with all religions, especially John Ensign’s Christians, are complex. I write John Ensign’s Christians, because Christian voters supporting Ensign at ministries in Nevada are shocked by John Ensign’s involvement with religious organizations namely C Street in boarding house for Washington insiders involved with mixing church law and state rule inside the capital of D.C. Writing helps the scribbler understand who he is, where he has been, and where is seems to be headed. Halloween I met John Ensign.

Mark Sanford and David Vitter

Mark Sanford is caught having sex in Argentina. David Vitter’s phone records prove that Senator Vitter was making arrangements with prostitutes while the minutes were being read in the Senate. Vitter was caught in the sex scandal, yet the prostitute committed suicide by killing herself, because she was seen as the attacker and Senator Vitter seen as the victim. The same for John Ensign, Paul Stanley, Larry Craig, Jim Gibbons, Mark Sanford, and now David Vitter - All the women were turned into attackers against the men, the most powerful men in the world representing Washington DC. This inspired my next book, Washington DC's Scandals of Hypocrisy aka Larry Craig's Guilt to Paul Stanley's Extortion. The reality is worst than the imagery. America is having a civil war during flood season. I cover Republican events at the Tea Party Express in Searchlight, Nevada, held in Searchlight because Harry Reid was born there in the mining town. Travelers saved money for gas to drive across the country. Grocery stores charged these drivers $2.00 for a small donut able to fit between my thumb and forefinger. At night, when I dropped my aunt off at her RV, coyotes waited to eat small children running out of the RV to use the desert as a toilet. The Tea Party Express supporting Republican Sarah Palin endorsements Christine O’Donnell, Sharron Angle, and Joe Miller can look back in hindsight and see what happened. The Tea Party Express should have encouraged travelers to save their money, because now gas is past $4.00 per gallon.

C Street and Decisions in Washington

Breakfast is being served. Amazing how so many life altering decisions are delivered at meetings over warm meals. Comfort takes away from the dangerous. Senators from C Street ate around the table and talked about Ensign as if they were wiping bread crumbs of the edge of the dining room table to dogs who would report what they told them to report. After all, most Senators controlled Fox News from their the kitchens where they cooked inside C Street. Soon GOP Senators from the Republican elite gathered for their weekly breakfast, John Ensign spoke as bacon was being cut. You can just see a U.S. Senator shoveling scrambled eggs fried in bacon fat wrestle another spoon of hash browns into his mouth. How can he heard Ensign’s warning, chew bacon, and swallow the entire story at the same time? John Ensign apologised. His friends enjoyed their meal. Not knowing that the entire GOP would fry next. Many Republicans didn’t know a Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics Organization exist in Washington DC. By filing a complain with the Senate Ethics Committee in June 2009, Presidential candidate not paying attention to John Ensign at breakfast were going to roast over an open barbecue pit without Fox News being able to oil them down so they wouldn’t burn to a crisp.

Entertainment and Accusations

Doug Hampton accused John Ensign of sleeping with his wife. The affair began Christmas. Hampton accused John Ensign of a crime on a show hosted by Las Vegas celebrity Jon Ralston. On live television broadcast through Vegas, Ralston and Hampton link John Ensign’s crime to John’s father, Michael, his mother, Sharon, members of the Senator’s administration, C Street in Washington, Fox News collusion, and busts Oklahoma’s Senator Tom Coburn. The name fits. Co as in variant to com. The Co prefix is added to key words before a vowel. For example in John Ensign’s case, co-conspirator; co-manager, copilot. Senator Coburn hides behind his co prefix by claiming immunity from prosecution by saying that he gave Ensign advise as a medical doctor, religious figure, Coburn is a Southern Baptist deacon of the great church, and co-Senator with Ensign’s Republican party as if politicians should be granted immunity from prosecution. The Federal government took the admission of guilt quite simply. As Tom Coburn reacted with panic, Federal investigators heard, “You admitted involvement.” Ron Ralston’s broadcast with Hampton went national faster than a sent email message. Coburn couldn’t control his conversation. He brought more attention to himself when he tried to hide behind politics, religion, and medicine as if Coburn were Tony Soprano hiding his medical license behind mafia psychologist, Dr. Melfi acted by Italian beauty Lorraine Bracco.
