Carson City : Capitol of Nevada

The Governor was running the State of Nevada; His friends supported him with wives, donations, and political contributions. Wait? Did I write wives? Supported him with wives? Well yes - Investigators heard about a Playboy bunny linked to Jim Gibbons at a summer rodeo. Better yet, she was married to a friend of Jim Gibbons. The friend and husband of the mysterious cover girl happened to be the Mayor of Reno, Nevada. Carson City is the capital, Reno is a little bit north, and Las Vegas controls the southern region. Instead of employment benefits, Jim Gibbons found himself back in court battling his wife. Jim cited a State of Nevada law requiring his home be returned. The Governor insisted his home was the office in the state capital. He held the office. Not Mrs. Gibbons, but Dawn knew how to play. She was clever. Dawn challenged Jim’s petition. Her argument was fantastic for being so simple really. Dawn declare a desire to continue her responsibilities as First Lady. Governor Jim Gibbons had to wait for the court to make a decision. The press continued to hound him. Husbands and wives, divorce arguments over who gets the property, these housing issues took up a lot of attention. Luckily the state had Senator John Ensign. Harry Reid was doing well with his party. People ignored Jim Gibbons and hoped for the best.
